This is a truly brilliant museum. It’s human, insightful, interesting and free!! Excellent displays featuring Sutton Hoo (which I thought was much better than the info at the actual National Trust site); local artists; local crafts people; big events in history – including WW2; and much more. Lovely little bookshop. The information is clearly written and displayed – no squinting at tiny info plaques. And next door you can see people building a life size replica of the Sutton Hoo ship. The museum was a highlight of my trip to Suffolk.
The exhibit really unlocked our understanding of the town, its history, buildings and society. Nice to have old maps, artefacts and interpretation.
Very interesting museum, with a lot of information and artefacts displayed in a relatively small space. Really well presented – other museums could learn a lot. Friendly lady at the entrance gave us a warm welcome and shared her local knowledge. Will definitely visit again when in the area.
Impeccably laid out and wonderfully informative displays. The idea of relating much of the town’s history through the lives of significant residents, backed up by an excellent collection of photographs, was truly inspired!
Fascinating history of Woodbridge, most beautifully displayed. Friendly curators.
Entry free and a good souvenir shop.
This little museum is packed full of history and lots of information, the volunteer was very knowledgeable and happy to chat. It encouraged us to go and visit other places in and around Woodbridge.
Small but with a lot of information and history if Woodbridge. Some fascinating stories as well as pictures and artefacts.
We really enjoyed our visit today. What a warm welcome and such helpful suggestions about Wyatt to see and where to go in the town. Very professionally curated and full of interest. Many thanks.
